I went on vacation.
And when I mean vacation, I mean VACATION...
Friends of ours got married in Costa Rica. Yep, that's right...I'm crossing some stuff off my 30 Before 30... :)
But that's for next week.
For the next few days, I'll try to work through the what...
Thursday morning Engineering Man and I woke up at dark thirty and hit the airport...
...to fly the friendly skies...
...and a few cloudy ones...
...with a couple naps...
...to the sunny and gorgeous Costa Rica...
...where we "stopped" traveling(teehee)...
...on the Pacific coast...
...at our gorgeous resort...
...we partied at the bar...
...and rode a bunch of shuttles as the terrain was ridiculous...
...saw some boats...
...and enjoyed the amazing black sand beach...
Friday morning began once again early...but this time for a good reason...
...we hit the road to Rincon de la Vieja...
...for some adventure...
...along the way we saw rice fields...
...and sugar cane fields...
...some recently harvested...
...including some recently harvested sugar cane...
...the morning's first adventure was horseback riding...
...through the jungle...
...to our next adventure...
...under a waterfall...
...what were we doing? Why, going down rapids...
...a lot of rapids...
...and there may have been some tube tipping involved...
...a few more rapids...
...I mean it was ridiculous...25 in total...
...we followed that awesome time with this...
...AHHH!!...
...yes, that's a waterfall with a zip line slide...
...and yes, we ended in a giant canyon...
...oh, and upside down!...
...the last portion of the day was spent painting...
...with mud...
...ridiculous, but fun...
