Mini #2 was in the back seat of the truck after his current haul at the K's. 

We and they had ended up putting some change in some of the eggs too...not just candy.

I watched for a while and suddenly realized what he was doing.

He'd pick up an egg...shake it...and if it made a clinking noise (like $$), he'd put it back in the basket.

Then, he'd pick up another egg...shake it...and if it didn't make a clinking noise (like candy), he'd open it up and eat it.

He went through his entire basket...

Efficient...and brilliant.

After one of my all-time favorite Easter services at church...we're talking trumpets, and the choir, and the handbells...

...the boys headed outside for an egg hunt with the rest of the kiddos from church...

...it was quite the mob...

...the boys and Engineering Man discussed strategy...

...Mini #1 got it right away...he's had a few years under his belt...

...Mini #2 on the other hand started slow...

...while Mini #1 was going crazy...

...Mini #2 was chilling...

...until he discovered that the eggs had CHOCOLATE!!...

...I think he's got next year in the bag...

This week included temper tantrums...I don't like being woken up from a nap either...

...seeing Grandpa...and telling him he was a "boo-boo-et"...

...dyeing Easter eggs...

...and our hands too...

...re-decapitating/de-footing/de-arming the bunny...

...he's been sent to bunny heaven...

...going to daddy's fishing tournament...

...this is his, "do you seriously have that damn camera again", face...

...and this is my favorite smile of his that I never seem to get on camera...

...but this time I did twice!...

...so serious...

...it was great to see him in action without having to be in the boat...

...loading up...

...and spitting on grandpa!...

...Grandpa started it...

...don't worry...he was having a good time...

...when do they grow up so fast!?!...

...finding a sign for the mini...

Oh dear sweet Jesus.  Thank you for dying on the cross for my sins and causing me to have a GREAT weekend celebrating your resurrection.

Now...can we just work on getting our family back together?  We really missed Engineering Man this weekend!
