Barefeet in High Heels

This holiday weekend included a trip to see family...

...a big boy toy store...

...riding in a car; lots...

...a trip to a baseball game...

...for the first time for one...

...and cheering when they actually won!...

...the most kick ass shirt from my home state...

...escalators...

...dinosaurs!...

...finding dinosaur fossils...

...and more dinosaurs...

...family bonding...

 

 ...happy baby...

...piano playing...

...with our feet...

...airplane flying...

...boat floating...

...bicycle tipping...

...helicopter flying...

...so so much fun...

...and exhaustion.  Wait...it's Tuesday?  UGH.

Mini #1 likes to watch TV.  At 6 a.m.  Needless to say I like to sleep at that time, so he gets to watch TV.  Usually it's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Great...because again...I'm sleeping.

During maternity leave, Mini #1 would like to wake up from his afternoon nap...well, CRANKY.  And as I was usually dealing with a baby at this point, we'd once again watch TV until Mini #1 would realize, yes, it was really OK that he woke up. 

Unfortunately...Mickey Mouse Clubhouse wasn't on at this time.

BUT...Phineas and Ferb was.

What is Phineas and Ferb you may ask?

Only the most kick ass kid's show in the world.

Doofenschmirtz rocks my socks off.  Favorite character has to be Perry the Platypus though.  Who wouldn't love a platypus as a secret spy agent?

Engineering Man went out with a friend of his to the bar.

Mini #1 wanted to go with him.

"Daddy; where you going?"

"To the bar."

"I go with you to the bar?"

"No buddy, sorry."

"Pweeese daddy...I go to the bar with you?"

"Buddy, do you know how old you have to be to go to the bar?  You have to be 21.  How old are you?"

"Free."

"Yea...and that's a LONG way from 21."

"I be 21 tomorrow?"

...if only it was that easy...

Mini #1 wanted to wish a very 

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

to one of his very favorite people in the whole wide world.

Sissy!

Mini #1 misses her...and even asked Engineering Man if she could come over Friday night to spend time with him.

A little background on Sissy and Mini #1.  She was homeschooled and used to be a "nanny" of sorts to Mini #1.  When I began work, Sissy came to the house and was with Mini #1 every single day, all day.  

And he loved it.

Now, Sissy is growing up, going to college and had to get a "big girl" job.  :(  

Thus, Mini #1 asks frequently as to where she is, and wishes he could go to school too.

So, Happy Birthday Sissy!  We love you and all miss you!!
