Friday's Favorites...chocolate in a box

Published on 9.17.2010 in ,

I love chocolate.

Seriously love chocolate.

Thus I love brownies.

But...I'm not a "make-it-from-scratch" kind of girl.

So guess what my favorite thing this week is:

yep...that's right!  Box brownies.

ooey gooey deliciousness from a box.

Love it!

(haven't been paid.  just love 'em)

Thursday Things I Never Thought I'd Hear...

Published on 9.16.2010 in ,

...and then I forgot my power converter on a road trip.

WARNING...post not for the queasy/squeamish...

On our way back from Fort Worth this past weekend, I forgot my power converter.  Basically, this translates to me being unable to uh...well...pump for 6 hours.

For those who don't understand...let's just say my boobs felt like water balloons that were about ready to explode.

Not the most comfortable feeling in the world.

So, Engineering Man proceeded to say:

"I wonder if they're like gas tanks...you suck a little and then just put a cup underneath them to catch the flow."

Awesome.  Not only have I been compared to a cow, but I've now been compared to a car.

Yes, I feel sexy...why do you ask?

You know you married a keeper when...

Published on 9.15.2010 in , ,

Mini #1 had been upstairs watching his evening show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. (I know...bad mom lets her child watch one episode before going to bed...I'll take my punishment later.)

Anyway, Mini #1 started crying and Engineering Man disappeared up the stairs to see what was wrong.

We'd been watching a show together, so I paused it, and waited...

...and waited...

...and waited...

Twenty minutes later I figured EM had decided to stay up with Mini #1 and started the show.

After another twenty minutes, and no EM, I headed up the stairs to see what was going on.

In our room was Mini #1 quietly watching his show...and Engineering Man passed out on the other side of the bed.

Mini #1 looked at me and politely asked..."Mommy, can you get me some chocolate milk?"

I told him yes and walked over the EM, shook him gently, he woke with a start...and the first words out of his mouth were:

"Oh, crap. I forgot the chocolate milk."
